I was going through my various Word documents I keep on my writing. I have some where I write down ideas for a world or characters and brainstorm. Others are actual stories I’m in progress on. Still others are completed, edited, and versioned works I’ve submitted. Anyway, I was looking for something on the Skylands that I know I’ve written down (or it’s just been brewing in my head for so long that’s taken such a solid form I *think* I’ve written it down already! I also keep an old-fashioned leather bound journal with inserted sets of stapled sheets for writing down ideas. Sometimes it just feels good to write versus type, and undoing the leather cord wrapped around a leather book just feels…timeless, old fashioned, inspiring I suppose. And of course, finally, I keep ideas here on this blog. Certainly they’re available here to be taken by others and made into something, but honestly, I’d be shocked and even just a bit flattered if that ever occurred.
Anyway, I’m guessing the stuff I think I’ve written down is most likely in the journal or on this blog. But before I go search for it, I thought I’d do a little creativity “syncing” or uploading and throw up the content of some of my Word documents here. Probably most of it is complete crap, and and none of it is finished (you can check my home page for my finished works). But I thought I’d just throw it up here to be more accessible, kind of all in one place, and for your enjoyment (whoever it is that reads this blog). So, the next few posts will be random dumps of story ideas or partially written stories. Enjoy.
